Additional solar collectors are available to increase the heating capacity of your system. The drainback tank is capable of accommodating 72 sq. ft of collector surface area. If additional collectors are added to the system and the total solar collector surface area exceeds 72 sq. ft, an additional drainback tank must also be added.

Second tank can be added to electric hot water systems for additional solar water storage. A separate solar storage tank is required for gas water heaters. An additional tank is particularly useful for large households or where large draws of water are taken every day
